Privacy Policy

The short version

We store your learner profile and learning records so your progress, scores and certificates follow you across devices. Payments are handled by Stripe — we never see your card details. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across the web.

What we collect

• Your learner profile. Your name and email. Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a one-time code to confirm the address is yours.
• Learning data. Course progress, section completion, quiz and lab scores, time-on-task, enrolments, and the certificates you earn.
• Credits & purchases. Your credit balance and a ledger of credit transactions (top-ups, course unlocks, claimed license credits, AI-tutor charges). Card payments are processed by Stripe — we never receive or store full card numbers.
• AI tutor questions. When you ask the in-course AI tutor a question, the question and the relevant lesson text are sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. We log token counts to meter credit usage.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider processes standard request information — IP address, timestamps, browser type and security logs — solely to operate and secure the platform.

Cookies & analytics

We use anonymous, cookie-free analytics (Plausible) to understand aggregate usage. We don't set advertising or analytics cookies and don't track you across websites, so no cookie-consent banner is needed to browse the site.

We do store small amounts of data in your browser's local storage — to keep you signed in, remember your theme, and mirror your progress for instant, offline-friendly loading. This stays on your device and is not used for tracking.

How we use your information

We use your data to run the platform: to sign you in, sync your progress across devices, unlock and play courses, issue and verify certificates, process credit purchases, answer your tutor questions, and keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell personal data, share it for advertising, or combine it with tracking profiles.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of providers who process data only as needed to deliver their service to us, and not for their own advertising or tracking:

• Stripe — payment processing for credit purchases.
• Mailchimp Transactional (Mandrill) — sending one-time verification codes.
• AI provider — generating in-course AI-tutor answers.
• Netlify & Plausible — hosting and anonymous analytics.

Data retention

We keep your profile and learning records while your account is active so your progress and certificates remain available. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time; some records may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes (e.g. payment records).

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including EU and UK residents — you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

LearnWisej is intended for developers and professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
